Who is the right holder of the StandFore FS platform?

The platform is the property of Qulix and was created to:

  • adopt world's best practices and approaches to digital banking solutions development and customize them to suit changing market conditions
  • combine a set of channels and applications for remote banking services in one state-of-the-art solution and present it to the European market
  • introduce an open-source based platform which is fully integratable with external components and systems
  • enable in-house system modifications and improvements, if required
What is StandFore? What is Qulix?

Qulix is a software manufacturing and consulting company and provider of IT solutions for banking and finance sectors. Company’s main line of business is custom development of complex information systems, corporate and public portals, and comprehensive mobile solutions. Qulix’ area of expertise includes design, development and implementation of front end banking systems – i.e. portals, e-banking, mobile applications, etc. – analysis of existing B2C-solutions, post-implementation review and maintenance of banking systems.

The StandFore brand was created by Qulix to market its next-generation front end platform for banking.

Can banks make in-house platform improvements?

At the moment, Qulix is an exclusive integrator and right holder of the StandFore FS platform, which gives a number of advantages to end customers. The main advantage is that Qulix takes on responsibility for project implementation as a project management contractor (i.e. works to ensure the quality of the platform and its implementation process). However, this does not exclude the use of the following approaches:

  • Further feature modifications by banks’ own efforts and expenses. The platform has an open and modular structure and well-documented API. Upon release, banks receive the complete source code and development tools. Specialists are trained to plan, develop, implement, and manage further system improvements.
  • Third-party modifications. The platform can be integrated with third-party software components provided that they were developed using the same standards.
What platform improvement options are given to banks?

Banks get the source code and are allowed to further modify it to suit their specific business functions. Standard platform modifications include:

  • adding or editing of business scenarios (new types of remittances, payments, application forms, etc.)
  • changes of presentation layer (adding of new widgets, graphs, pages, etc.)
  • connection to third-party systems (anti-fraud systems, CRM, etc.)
What platform configuration options are given to business users?

One of the problems of current e-banking systems is their rigidity. Changes go hand-in-hand with paperwork (application reviews, etc.), top management approvals and other formal processes, and take a lot of time and effort. At the same time, there is a growing need for quick customization of products, offers and content to suit changing market conditions and retail business strategy. The StandFore FS platform enables business users to make their own key content changes to speed up the whole process.

  • Static content management (CMS) – management of banners and banner groups, articles, news, tips, directories, etc., content targeting
  • Bank product management – adding or editing of bank products and services via administration interface
    • management of product content pages (description, properties)
    • management of application forms (metadata configuration)
    • management of application processing lifecycle (workflow metadata configuration)
  • Transaction scenarios management – definition of operation types, scripts and control elements (transaction metadata)
  • Segmentation and targeting
    • user segmentation based on static (e.g. gender) and dynamic (e.g. average monthly income) parameters
    • segment-specific display of content (e.g. red banners for women, steel blue banners for men)
    • segment-specific interface customization (e.g. more emphasis on payments and account balance statements for housewives, more Forex charts for VIP customers)
What routine tasks (milestones) are included in a platform deployment project?
  • analysis of business, functional and technical requirements
  • UI/UX design (may be performed by third parties)
  • deployment and customization of the StandFore FS platform core (can be further modified as banks see fit)
  • deployment and customization of platform components which were defined at initial investigation step (the full set includes StandFore Online, StandFore Mobile, StandFore MyBank, StandFore CMS, StandFore Analysis, StandFore Auth, StandFore Security, StandFore DMS)
  • building and deployment of a single business services layer (+ facade) for realization of business logic and interaction protocols for communication with external clients (mobile banking, Internet banking, etc.)
  • integration with internal banking systems
  • migration of existing data (data access is granted on a need-to-know basis and controlled by banks)
  • comprehensive system testing (functional and load testing)
  • system configuration
  • submission of a full set of documents (details will be given below)
  • training for platform users, administrators and banks’ software development teams
  • support and guarantee maintenance
What marketing options does StandFore FS offer?

Major marketing activities are concentrated in the StandFore DMS (Digital Marketing System) component. Specific implementation of its features can vary and depends on the CRM features and separation of concerns between the CRM and DMS. StandFore DMS interacts with users to build up a personal profile of each customer (static and dynamic data, behaviour, geolocation, etc.) and tailor e-banking services and offers to meet that profile. The final functionality may include:

  • customer segmentation
  • segment-specific display of content (messages, pages, widgets, products, news, etc.)
  • creation and management of promotion campaigns
  • creation and management of ad banners

By default, these features will be included in the CRM module. However we can move them to the DMS module upon request.

How long does a typical implementation project take?

Ideally we plan for a 4- to 6-month project timeline from project establishment to pilot.

How is the platform licensed?

The StandFore FS platform consists of a set of core software and a set of optional components. Each item is separately licensed and must be purchased on its own. Each component licence is purchased for a one-time fixed fee regardless of the number of remote banking service users. No additional per-user licences are required.

How much does StandFore FS cost?
