Qulix Systems turned 15 years old a few days ago. Fifteen years is a good reason to look back with pride, reflect on achievements and look to the future. To celebrate, here are 15 facts about the company that you probably didn’t know.

  1. The history of Qulix began in 2000 in a small, agile team of software quality assurance specialists.
  2. The name Qulix has a close connection to the company’s main line of business during the first years of its operation. Qulix sounds similar to the word ‘quality’, as in quality assurance and software testing.
  3. The company’s mission is to turn customers’ ideas into profit-making out-of-the-box IT-solutions.
  4. The longest development project in the history of the company belongs to the department of Microsoft technologies. The project started 9 years ago and is still in progress.
  5. Total revenue from the longest running project exceeds $2.5. million.
  6. In 2011, Qulix created an all-new version of the unified register of legal acts and other documents of the CIS.
  7. In 2012, mobile banking apps developed by Qulix for VTB24 got a lot of credit from the bank clients and professional audience and topped the Russian mobile banking app rating compiled by Markswebb Rank & Report.
  8. The 2014 report by CNews Analytics states that Qulix takes 4.8 percent of Russian retail banking systems market hitting the Top 10 list of mobile banking software providers in Russia.
  9. Qulix has an ISO 9001 compliant quality management system.
  10. Within 15 years, the staff numbers grew from 12 to 265 full-time members.
  11. 8 people have been working for the company from its inception in 2000.
  12. All Qulix team members have a university degree. About 80% of staff come from a strong technical or engineering background.
  13. 42% of the company’s staff are females.
  14. Every year the company takes on more than 20 trainees and interns from different countries of the world. Some of them are subsequently hired.
  15. Qulix got started as a pet-friendly company a long time ago. The company’s office space serves as home to two dozen goldfish, a couple of hamsters and a tortoise named Martha, yet the absolute majority of employees positively love cats.
